After moving boxes of books around the attic, I thought there had to be a way to share books after we have read them instead of storing them. I found a site about Little Free Library’s on line and we decided that is what downtown McClellanville needed. After looking at some sample plans, and digging through the scrap pile to see what materials we had, we came up with a design of our own.
The concept is to build a small weather proof box and fill it with books. Folks can take a book and leave one for behind. We tried to start with a mix of books, kids, young adults, his and hers novels. It is located in front of the W.P. Baldwin & Associates office on Pinckney Street.
Feel free to come by and see whats available. Hopefully it will get some use and we’ll see a good turn over of books.
