If you are a music fan than you have to check out the hidden jewel that has taken off recently, Awendaw Green. Awendaw, our neighbors to the south is just 15 minutes away from McClellanville and 10 minutes north of Mt Pleasant. Located just north of the Sewee Outpost, Awendaw Green is a new music venue that gives local artists and music fans a local place to display and watch some great talents.
Wednesday night is the “Barn Jam”. This is a free concert series featuring local musicians. They also host several yearly fundraisers that promote music in the schools. On July 11th and 12th they are hosting Grass on the Green Concert featuring over 30 different bands and musicians. The cost is $20 and proceeds go to benefit Winwood Farm and Pet Helpers.
